Pete helped his brother Dave finish the first verified walk round the earth after his other brother John was killed by bandits in Afghanistan. Pete walked across Afghanistan, Pakistan, India and half of Australia before returning to his family in California.
Pete and his brother Dave were the first non-Asians to
walk to and cross the Kyber Pass (in Pakistan) on foot since Alexander
the Great.
